So, I am in LOVE with this Charlotte Russe blazer. I feel like the satin sheen of it is great for the Holiday season. Maybe I’ll incorporate it into my New Year’s Outfit!

Holiday OOTD - Company Party

Hey everyone! Here is what I would suggest to wear to a company party. It’s still business casual with a little bit of holiday flair! What I love about this outfit is the high waisted brown skirt. It gives definition to the body even under the boyfriend blazer.

atidymess asked: Hello Christine! I have a job interview next Monday and I couldn't decide what to wear to the interview.
I planned to wear my ruffled tank top (similar to this one http://s3.thisnext.com/media/largest_dimension/58FB3FC2.jpg but blue instead of yellow) with black suit. I'm not very sure if it's acceptable. I think this tank top might be too revealing, but I don't wanna look too plain with shirt. My second option is black suit with a white & navy striped tee.
I hope you could give me advice on how to look professional but not too plain or casual. I really appreciate it.
Thank you.

Between the tank and the tee I would definitely go with the tee. It’s really important to dress modestly when going to an interview, now remember, modest doesn’t have to mean dull and boring! Here is another fun way to jazz up a black suit below. A good way of making a great impression is having the clean lines of a black suit brighten up with a pop of color in the top. Depending on the interview, another great option is wearing slacks and a cardigan. Also remember to wear closed toed flats or heels or a peep toe at the most. Opened toed shoes can look sloppy!

Good luck with your interview!

Thanks for your advice on the other outfit! I do need help on another one though, is there any way where you can look professional without slacks and blazers? Please reply back soon, I need it asap. Thanks again! (:
Answer:
I love, love, LOVE pencil skirts and cardigans! I worked as an intern for Nordstrom over the summer and I lived in them paired with fun heels. Another option is wearing a cute, but modestly cut dress. Make sure to cover up though by wearing a sweater and tights.
Hope that helps!

I decided to go to a career fair last minute today. I tossed together the few “interview” type clothing I had at my apartment (I left most of it at my parent’s house) and came up with this outfit!
Top - $8.99 (Ross)
Skirt - $20.99 (Banana Republic Outlet, $29.99 minus 30% off clearance)
Heels - Coach (I love Coach shoes!!)
Tip: Although nice heels can be expensive, they can work wonders for your confidence! Invest in a good pair of heels that you can walk in so that you will feel fabulous in any interview!
Earrings - .12 cents (Old Navy)
Tip: Keep jewelry to a minimum and never underestimate how sophisticated a pair of “diamond” studs can make you look =)
Nail Polish - $2.12 (Regis, OPI - From A to Zurich)
